Peter Kaplan – Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner

Peter KaplanPeter, a veteran of the computer industry, holds degrees in Computer Science & Finance from Binghamton University in New York. He has worked as a software developer, development manager, director, and corporate executive at many national and international technology firms. But his passion is start-up businesses.

As President & Chief Executive Officer, Peter’s primary roles are setting the strategic corporate direction, managing the day-to-day operations, and oversight of the services team.


Jim Rappl – Chief Technical Officer & Managing Partner

Jim RapplJim, a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York with a degree in Management Information Systems, has more than two decades of experience in corporate IT. Because of his extensive knowledge, he is highly regarded as an expert in business IT infrastructure management and corporate IT relocation.

At Exceptional IT Jim is primarily responsible for new business development, customer relations, and managing the sales team.


Jessica Helmstetter – IT Services Manager

Jessica HelmstetterJessica has been with Exceptional IT since 2006 and brings a tremendous background in technical customer service and helpdesk support. She was formerly with 4front Systems as a network administrator and since joining Exceptional IT has taken responsibility in managing the services team, as well as maintaining the managed services automation process and tools. Outside of her technical responsibilities, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the services team and manages the technical staff.


Neill Bloem – Customer Account Manager

Neill BloemNeill, a graduate from North Carolina State University, went on to finish his first year of law school at Campbell University before recognizing his true passion. After joining Exceptional IT, he quickly established himself as a reliable resource, assisting our team with resolving complex technical issues and providing exceptional customer service.

As Customer Account Manager, Neill is responsible for project implementation and customer care.
